Several political forums are scheduled in Kanabec County before elections this year, and the Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America (CADCA) suggests getting candidates on record. According to CADCA, members of substance abuse prevention coalitions should ask candidates’ about their positions on substance abuse prevention, treatment, recovery and research as well as underage drinking, drug legalization and synthetic drugs. Click here for a list of questions CADCA has prepared on all of these topics for election events, town meetings, radio call-in shows and candidate forums.

Mark your calendars for these political forums, co-hosted by Kanabec Publications and the Mora Area Chamber of Commerce. Both will be held at Trailview Middle School Commons from 6:00 – 8:30 p.m.

  • Monday, October 29 – Federal & State
  • Tuesday, October 30 – Ogilvie & Mora City Councils, Mora School Board
