On Tuesday, December 20th the Mora City Council unanimously approved to amend Ordinance No. 477 Condition of License for Alcoholic Beverages. The ordinance now requires all servers at establishments inside the City Limits to complete annual Responsible Server Beverage Training and provide  documentation of training. This amended document now aligns with that of Kanabec County.

In addition, those organizations applying for temporary on-sale 3/2 malt liquor licenses or temporary on-sale intoxicating liquor licenses shall provide a certificate of attendance indicating proof of training for the member of the organization responsible for alcohol beverage service at the organization’s event. This person shall be responsible for training all servers of alcoholic beverages. A list of names of those trained and serving at the event shall be prepared by the responsible person and submitted to the city within ten (10) business days of the end of the event. Failure to do so disqualifies the organization from obtaining licenses from the city in the future.
