Approximately 17 coalition members met on July 3 for SACK’s monthly meeting. The meeting featured a panel of four including: Guy Kaufman, Janelle Sowers, Geoff Petrie and Patricia Beneze. Each panelist had six minutes to answer three questions: 1) What exists in our community around mentoring? 2) Where are the gaps or needs? and 3) Where are there opportunities for growth? Then in small groups, members worked together to answer the same questions for each component of the former CASA START program including: Family Services, Social Support, Education Services, Activities, Community Policing and Juvenile Justice Intervention.
