Why did you choose to become a member of SACK?

I attended the first meeting because having a young child in my house I decided I needed to be a concerned citizen in what was being formed.

What is one talent or skill that you bring to SACK?

Common sense when making decisions and being a long time member of the community.

What are you most interested in or passionate about when it comes to preventing youth substance use?

Parents who serve liquor to minors.  I learned as a young person that a drug alters ones mind and body functions, some for a short time and others permanently.  I also had a Dad who smoked his pipe, but he never wanted his girls to smoke.  I think he knew what was happening to him was not what he wanted for us.

What you have gained by being involved with SACK?

I have gained an insight of what the thoughts and actions of others are related to drugs, smoking and alcohol.  A knowledge of what is happening nationally and other areas of concern.

What is one hope you have for future generations in this community?

I see a community of involvement on the safety and well being of all peoples.  Keeping the drunk driver off the highways, servers not serving impaired individuals, good habits and a caring and responsibility to oneself and the community.
