Positivity in the Park Updates!

Our rescheduled rain-out from August 3rd was once again rained-out on August 10th. We still feed a few lunch, visited and enjoyed the shelter at Library Park! We decided to reschedule our FREE lunch and FUN games for Thursday, August 24th. Kanabec County Family Services had some fun games planned and we have all kinds of food just waiting to be devoured! Here is the schedule for the remaining Positivity in the Park events:

Thursday, August 17th, 7:30 p.m. Basketball Game & Free Throw Contest followed by an outdoor showing of the movie, “Hotel for Dogs” (PG) at approx 8:30 pm. Bring a lawn chair, blanket and a snack!

Thursday, August 24th, 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m., FREE lunch followed by Yoga at 1 p.m. *Yoga will be held in the basement of the library in the event that the weather doesn’t cooperate!

Thursday, August 31st, 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. Games GALORE! Beachball Volleyball, Sidewalk Chalk Art, Basketball, Ring Toss, and Bean Bags!

We’ve had a great time connecting with people at the park throughout the summer. First Light Health Systems, Deb Wright, Toni Fulton w/Betabfit (Zumba), Kanabec County Sheriffs Office, First Citizens Bank, Kari Moe, Sandy Juettner, Christine Sand, and Deb Newton (Yoga) have been great supporters of these events. As we move into planning for next year, my hope is to engage more community members, families, kids and businesses!

We are Better Together!
