Please welcome our new Health Educator to the SACK team, Brittany Krippner! Brittany will take over as the Strategic Prevention Framework – State Incentive Grant (SPF-SIG) coordinator! Here’s what Brittany has to say about herself:
I graduated from Buffalo High School and I recently received my B.A. in Community Health with a Minor in Gerontology from Saint Cloud State University in May of 2014. I plan in the future to get my Master in Public Health.
Throughout college I worked as an In Home Skills Trainer through Catholic Charities, working with behavioral health disabilities. In my last semester of college I completed an internship at Morrison County Public Health working closely with the Statewide Health Improvement Program (SHIP), and the Substance Abuse Coalitions in Little Falls, and in Pierz.
Some things about me, I am the oldest of 5, and my youngest brother being 7 years old. I love being in the gym and working out, being active is a big part of my life. When I am not working out I am finding new recipes to cook, and bake. Nothing like a delicious tasting meal! In my free time I am planning my wedding, attending car events, and taking care of my plants.
In my new role as a Health Educator, I am looking forward to building on the experience I gained at my internship, and using what I learned in school to do the best I can to help the youth in this community make positive and healthy choices, and to continue bringing awareness to the substance use issues they are facing.
